Special Olympics GB National Summer Games

The National Summer Games are the pinnacle of national summer sports competition for Special Olympics athletes across England, Scotland and Wales. Suffolk athletes who compete at this event do so as part of the Eastern Region team.

Suffolk athletes first competed at these Games when they were held in Leicester in 1989, many years later a group of volunteers from the Suffolk ‘County Events Team’ were involved at the Games in Bath in 2013.

Since the formation of Special Olympics Suffolk in 2014, Suffolk athletes have competed at the National Games in Sheffield in 2017.
